The Telugu Association in Brunei Darussalam hosted a grand Ugadi celebration, bringing together 150 members from India and Brunei for a vibrant and culturally enriching event. Ugadi, marking the Telugu New Year, was celebrated with great enthusiasm, highlighting the deep-rooted traditions and artistic heritage of the Telugu community. The event featured a series of captivating cultural programs, including traditional dances, melodious music, and mesmerizing performances by talented artists. A special highlight of the evening was the presence of renowned Tollywood singers Sreelekha and Ravikumar Manda, who flew in from India to enthrall the audience with their soulful renditions. Their performances created an electrifying atmosphere, evoking nostalgia and pride among the Telugu community. Children also took center stage, singing melodious songs and performing graceful dances, showcasing their talent and deep connection to Telugu culture.

Adding to the festive spirit, Telugu families presented an array of spectacular dance performances, blending semi-classical and cinematic styles. The rhythmic and colorful Bathukamma dance, a symbol of Telugu culture and womanhood, was a major attraction, as women dressed in traditional attire gracefully moved in sync with folk music. The celebration also encouraged cultural pride among young children, who enthusiastically participated in a traditional dress competition, displaying the beauty of Telugu heritage through their vibrant outfits.
