Become a Member of the Telugu Association
Join us and be part of a thriving community that celebrates Telugu culture, language, and heritage! As a member of our association, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with fellow Telugu-speaking individuals, contribute to community initiatives, and engage in enriching cultural experiences. The membership of the association shall consist of two categories, namely Full membership and Honorary Membership
General Requirements For Membership
Application for membership shall be in the prescribed form, signed by the applicant and recommended by a member and addressed to the Secretary General of the association.

Full Membership
Full membership shall be open to all Telugu persons residing in Brunei Darussalam and are aged above 18 years of age.
Full membership shall be eligible to vote and shall be eligible for the election as office bearers.

Honorary Membership
The president of the association may also elect any person to become an honorary member of the association.
Honorary members shall not be required to pay any annual subscription fees.
Honorary members shall not be eligible to vote at meetings or to hold the office.
Subscription And Membership Fees
The annual subscription for Full members shall be B$60-00 payable in advance to the treasurer at the beginning of each financial year.
Any person joining the association as a full member during any part of the financial year shall be entitled to pay the subscription fee on a pro-rata basis calculated at the rate of B$5 per month for such remaining part of the said year.
Should the annual subscription due from any full member remain unpaid for a period of 3 months from the date it falls due, the said member shall be notified by the treasurer calling attention to the default and should the due subscription then still not to be paid within one
month of service of such notice, the member shall be suspended and refused all privileges of the association.
Any member who wishes to resign from the association shall give one month’s notice in writing to the secretary general.The said member shall pay all outstanding dues up to the date of resignation to the association.
Resignation of any member of the executive committee shall only be accepted at the annual general meeting of the association.
No members resigning from the association shall be entitled to a refund of the subscription fees they have paid.
